There is a lot going on this weekend, so we wanted to make sure and introduce this game with a bit of info about the complex, the tournament we’re headlining and some other new things at this game, like beer!
The Round Rock Multipurpose Complex is a brand new facility, with 5 turf and 5 grass soccer fields, including two championship fields with stands, scoreboard and more. You’re going to want to come from the north, off Old Settler’s Blvd and turn in at Kenney Fort Blvd when you see the fields on your right (assuming you’re coming from 35). If you hit Harrell Parkway, you’ve gone too far.
The field does have stands, but they are limited in size. Fortunately, the Central Plaza is raised above the field for a great view, so bring a folding chair to setup for the best view along the perimeter. They’ll have food trucks on premise and we’ll have Adelbert’s Brewery serving beer.
Many of you will come from Centex. For those that don’t know, Centex is a two day ultimate tournament, hosting teams from all over Texas and the surrounding states. Check out the Centex event page for more info on the tournament and UPLA, the non-profit that runs Centex. This Sol game will start at 6pm, so Centex players can grab a bite to eat and a drink before the game starts.
Last year both Austin vs Atlanta games went to overtime and each team won once. We’re expecting it to be tight again, so come out and cheer on the Sol as they look to win their first 2017 game against the Hustle!
